Moving Day

My parents sold their house and we ended up going to help them this last week.  It was definitely bittersweet.  That was the home my dad built when I was going into 3rd grade.  It was the backyard where I got married....so many great, great memories!  I am happy that they are able to move though.  We had to get some last pics in the garden.

Holiday World/Abraham Lincoln State Park

In July we went to Holiday World and stayed a couple of nights.  We had a blast - the boys loved the water park the best.  Will went on some big roller coasters for the first time - he didn't like them and was crying on them.  Had a great time with our family!

The boys became junior rangers at the park.

Summer Fun

We've had a lot of fun this summer.  The boys and I made a bucket list of things we wanted to do this summer and we accomplished some of it:

1.  Indians Game

2.  Historical Society and picnic on the canal

The boys (especially Will) is pretty into Abraham Lincoln now

3.  Fireworks

Of course, Josh and the boys had to get an elephant ear!

self portrait - love those freckles!

Funny and amazing story....We went to the Greenwood fireworks last night. There were thousands of people there watching them in baseball fields, parks, etc. I had bought these glow in the dark glasses for the boys and so Will handed me his glasses. I hung them on my shirt. We were in a hurry to leave and beat some of the traffic and packed up quickly. After walking most of the way to the car, I felt my shirt and realized they were gone. Because of the dark, lateness, and the craziness, we decided not to go all the way back but I backtracked a little. We went after lunch this afternoon to look. I had prayed at lunch that we would find them and they would be unbroken. Andrew found them right around where we were sitting bent a little but completely unbroken. Amazing how God cares about the small thing like Will's glasses. Imagine how He cares for the big things!! He is an amazing God!!

1st Tooth

Andrew lost his first tooth May 28th.  It was very loose for a while.  We were eating breakfast outside and as he was eating I saw an empty place in his mouth.  He ended up losing it during breakfast and swallowing it without knowing.  We wrote the tooth fairy a note and explained the situation.  She left a pillow and $1.

Kindergarten Graduation

Andrew graduated Kindergarten at the end of May.  It was a sweet ceremony.  They wore caps and gowns for a part of the ceremony and then sang some sweet songs.
