Family Fun

Aunt Christy, Will, Aunt Nicole, and Leslie decorated some Christmas cookies. They were yummy!!

We went to the Children's Museum on Saturday. The carousal was a big hit.

Andrew's Birthday

Andrew got so many nice things for his birthday. My sisters came into town to celebrate his birthday and an early Christmas. Josh and Andrew getting ready to blow out his candle.

All the kids - Adrienne, Leslie, Will, and Andrew

He enjoyed unwrapping his presents more than playing with them.

Andrew and Alaina Celebrate Turning 1!

We had a birthday party for Andrew and Alaina's first birthday. Our small group came over and we had dinner and some cupcakes.

Alaina, Andrew, and Will

This is Andrew's first taste of cake. He wasn't too sure about it at first but it got better quickly.

Our First Snowman

This is Will and Andrew's first snowman. Our neighbors Caitlyn and Brennan helped. Will loved piling snow on a shovel and dumping it into a pile! I think they love the snow!

Now the snow has melted, and every time we go outside, I hear, "Mommy, where the snowman?" I don't think a 2 1/2 year old grasps the weather cycle yet.

The First Snowfall

On Wednesday, we woke up to snow! Will was so excited! He couldn't wait to go outside so when Josh came home, we all went out. It was a big ordeal getting all our snow things on. We had a great time!

Andrew couldn't really move with his snowpants and coat on. He looked like a little marshmallow.

Will enjoyed being outside and running around. He made "train tracks" in the snow. He was pretty excited about it.

Josh was showing Andrew the snow. We can't wait for snow!

Winter Wonderland

We went to the Children's Museum with our friends Todd and Elise and their daughter Alaina on Saturday. During the month of December, the museum is decorated with all sorts of Christmas decorations. Here is Andrew and Alaina dressed up as a toy soldier and a ballerina.

We rode on the carosaul. Will wanted to ride on the giraffes. This was Andrew's first ride on an animal. He was always in the Snugli. He wasn't so sure about it but seemed to like the music.

Here we are going down the big slide they have in their entryway. Will and Josh went down together but Josh had the camera so we have no picture.

Christmas Preparations

Will helped me put up the Christmas lights one morning when Andrew was napping. He liked putting the lights on our bushes. He is a great helper!

This was taken when we were hunting through the forest or as some would call it, Home Depot, looking for the perfect Hahn family Christmas tree. The boys liked running around the garden center more than looking at trees.

Andrew helped check to see if all the lights worked.

Fall Pictures

This fall we went to a park in southern Illinois. Andrew discoved dirt and woodchips. He enjoyed picking it up and playing in the dirt. Will enjoyed playing on this "dinosaur."

Andrew's Walking!!

Andrew has been taking some steps for the past week but today he seemed to really take off. He loves to walk - he tries to chase Will but can't seem to keep up with him yet. Tonight, he was walking more than he crawling!

Pumpkin Carving

I wasn't sure if we were going to get a chance to carve pumpkins since Will had the flu but he was feeling better one night so we decided to do it. Will (and Josh) had a lot of fun. The boys didn't dress up for Halloween because as soon as Will got over the flu, they both got croup. Josh and I both got sick also....we are finally all recovering!!!

Will enjoyed getting all of the pumpkin insides out!

Andrew was more interested in how it tasted. He tasted the stem and the pumpkin...yum!

Josh ended up doing all of the carving. Needless to say, he was quite proud of them. I can't tell you how many times he had to relight them on Halloween so everyone could see them. His highpoint came when a 10 year old said they were, "tight."

Our Trip to Florida

On Saturday, we flew to Florida for a vacation with my family. We went to Siesta Keys. We had a great time but were ready to come home at the end of the week. It was very relaxing - spending the morning on the beach and the afternoon at the pool. The weather was in the high 80's every day. Josh had to go to a conference in Orlando for a couple of days for work. Will seemed to enjoy every part of the trip while Andrew struggled a little. He didn't like the sand - yes, he did try to eat it. He also didn't sleep well at night. I was up almost every night with him. I think he missed his bed at home. Overall, we are glad that we went and will treasure the time we were able to spend with all of our family.

Will loved being at the airport and flying on the airplane. He had his Thomas backpack filled with toys.
Andrew playing with his favorite toy - a water bottle!

Will and Leslie went for a boat ride. Josh got in with them and paddled a little - they didn't end up getting very far but the kids loved being in a little boat.
Before going to Florida, Will and I talked about "burying Daddy in the sand". We dug a hole for him to lay in and covered him with sand. Will mostly only wanted to put sand on Josh's face and in his ears!
After Josh was buried, Will and Leslie wanted to get buried too!
The whole gang by a sand-snowman

Every morning, we went down to the beach. They had a great sandbar that Will loved to go on. He loved to go in the water this year. After lunch, we would head down to the pool. Will loved to get in this float because then he was "swimming" all by himself.
Will and Leslie at dinner - they both lived on fries all week!

Andrew enjoyed going in his ring in the pool.

Andrew in the sand - wow - he's not crying yet!!
Our family picutre - as you can see, Josh is holding Will down and I'm holding Andrew. Neither one wanted to sit and have their picture taken - when do pictures get easier???

Anderson's Apple Ochard

On Sunday, we went to a local apple orchard with some friends from church. Needless to say, we didn't know it was going to be 90 degrees out when we went. We were very hot but had a good time.

Will liked riding out on the tractor to get to the pumpkin patch.
Josh and Will searched the fields for just the right pumpkins. Andrew got a large pumpkin and Will wanted a little one. After getting pumpkins, we enjoyed some carmel apples and apple cider.

Will's First Football Game

Will and Josh went to see Will's first football game on Saturday. This is our neighbor, Kyle. He just started playing tackle football this year. When Will came home, he kept saying, "When Will get bigger, I play football." I would agree and he would then add, "When Daddy get bigger, he play football." One of his favorite games to play now is "Quarterback."
