Our Trip to Florida

On Saturday, we flew to Florida for a vacation with my family. We went to Siesta Keys. We had a great time but were ready to come home at the end of the week. It was very relaxing - spending the morning on the beach and the afternoon at the pool. The weather was in the high 80's every day. Josh had to go to a conference in Orlando for a couple of days for work. Will seemed to enjoy every part of the trip while Andrew struggled a little. He didn't like the sand - yes, he did try to eat it. He also didn't sleep well at night. I was up almost every night with him. I think he missed his bed at home. Overall, we are glad that we went and will treasure the time we were able to spend with all of our family.

Will loved being at the airport and flying on the airplane. He had his Thomas backpack filled with toys.

Will and Leslie went for a boat ride. Josh got in with them and paddled a little - they didn't end up getting very far but the kids loved being in a little boat.
Before going to Florida, Will and I talked about "burying Daddy in the sand". We dug a hole for him to lay in and covered him with sand. Will mostly only wanted to put sand on Josh's face and in his ears!
After Josh was buried, Will and Leslie wanted to get buried too!

Every morning, we went down to the beach. They had a great sandbar that Will loved to go on. He loved to go in the water this year. After lunch, we would head down to the pool. Will loved to get in this float because then he was "swimming" all by himself.

Andrew enjoyed going in his ring in the pool.

Andrew in the sand - wow - he's not crying yet!!
Our family picutre - as you can see, Josh is holding Will down and I'm holding Andrew. Neither one wanted to sit and have their picture taken - when do pictures get easier???

Anderson's Apple Ochard

On Sunday, we went to a local apple orchard with some friends from church. Needless to say, we didn't know it was going to be 90 degrees out when we went. We were very hot but had a good time.

Will liked riding out on the tractor to get to the pumpkin patch.
Josh and Will searched the fields for just the right pumpkins. Andrew got a large pumpkin and Will wanted a little one. After getting pumpkins, we enjoyed some carmel apples and apple cider.

Will's First Football Game

Will and Josh went to see Will's first football game on Saturday. This is our neighbor, Kyle. He just started playing tackle football this year. When Will came home, he kept saying, "When Will get bigger, I play football." I would agree and he would then add, "When Daddy get bigger, he play football." One of his favorite games to play now is "Quarterback."

The Museum

We went to the Children's Museum. We go there often and will probably go even more now that the weather is getting colder.

Andrew's favorite part was crawling on these textured rocks.

Will's favorite part was the dinosaur exhibit. This is the first time he let me put on this vest.

More Pictures from Shelbyville...

Uncle Gary and Andrew

Aunt Carol

Uncle Al

Will loved wearing this football "hat"

Will couldn't throw the football very well since he had to hold onto his "hat."

We were able to see some of Josh's extended family this weekend. It was great to see Uncle Gary and his son, Corey. I also met Josh's Uncle Al and Aunt Carol. They drove up from South Carolina. We had a great weekend!

Trip to Shelbyville, Kentucky

This weekend we went to see Josh's parents in Kentucky. On Saturday, we went to a horse park in Lexington. We saw a horse show, pet horses, and rode a horse-pulled trolley ride. We had a great time! Will loves horses. For years, I asked my parents for a horse for Christmas and my birthday but never got one. I was so disappointed time and time again. It's funny how now my son loves them too and will probably be begging for one also!

Andrew is 9 Months

Look, my first tooth!!

We went for our 9 month doctor's appointment and had a good report. Andrew is now 27 and 3/4 inches long and weighs 19 pounds 4 ounces. He has really changed a lot. Some of his favorite activities include standing, crawling all over, and playing with his brother. No one can get Andrew to laugh like Will can. His eyes light up when Will is near and he is constantly watching him.
