Uncle Squirm and Aunt Alyssa Visit

We went to Josh's parents this weekend because Josh's brother and sister-in-law were going to be in town from Seattle. We were so excited to see them!

They found this "phonograph" in the basement. Josh remembered it from his childhood and had to share some of his favorite stories with the boys.

An Update...

I wanted to give you an update on what the boys are up to lately. I love this picture. It's from the Superbowl - the boys had to wear their jerseys even though the Colts weren't playing. If you can tell, Josh added shoulder pads and knee pads (washcloths) - they loved it!!!

Will and Andrew are both really into Veggie Tales right now. Andrew loves to listen to "broccoli" as he calls it! Will cracks me up with his new vocabulary. It seems like he is adding new words all the time. Some of the latest are "actually, fantastic, suddenly, and terrific." It's funny the words he picks up. He is also really into reading the Bible. He loves to read stories of Jonah, Goliath, and Daniel. I overhead him playing with some small Veggie Tale characters saying, "The Philistines are ready to attack us." We play David which includes being sheep and he will come and "rescue" the stray sheep, Pharaoh and Moses, David and Goliath, and Gideon. I will try to post a video of some of these "games." It is pretty amusing!!

Andrew's vocabulary is also increasing. His new favorite word is "maybe." When I ask where something is he says, "Maybe.... here or maybe... there." His favorite game right now is what he calls "Bad Guy." Basically, he is the bad guy and escapes from jail and the "good guy" has to chase him and put him back in jail. He loves anything that involves getting chased! Both of the boys love coloring and drawing. Our refrigerator is full of drawings!

Fun in the Snow!

The boys and I have had so much fun in the snow this year. We've done lots of shoveling, building of snow forts, and making a boat out of snow (Will is really into the Veggie Tales - The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything). We are loving the snow!!

We went sledding for the first time this year. We went to a park that had huge hills - we only went down less than half the hill. Will didn't want to try it at first so Andrew went and then I dragged Will on it. I knew once he tried it, he would love it! We had a great time but next time, we will try some smaller hills!
